GORE-TEX
At the core of GORE-TEX technology is an extremely thin membrane that’s durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It has over nine billion pores per square inch. Each pore is 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than water vapor — or sweat. This means that rain is kept out while perspiration vaporizes, so you’ll stay dry no matter what.

High Quality Lightweight Jacket for biking or hiking- The Best
Actually, both my wife and I have these jackets in yellow color that we use for biking and hiking. We bought the yellow color to be visible when cycling.
They are very lightweight and foldable. We like the functionality of the jackets and there's plenty of space inside for an additional layer of light fleece or synthetic top if it's cold. The fit is true to size.
PacLite GoreTex is an excellent fabric choice, provided you understand that it is not designed to be as resistant to abrasion life the GoreTex Pro that is used by Arcteryx in its Beta AR jackets that are too heavy for cycling.
We no longer worry about getting wet or risking hypothermia when we are on a ride with iffy weather.
