Do the job
Cold toes have been my nemesis on 30-40F gravel/road rides. Was reluctant to purchase yet another repair of bike shoes so took a chance on these after upgrading my cold weather kit to another of the G5 line. They're effective with a pair of merino wool under. Still a slight chill but block the wind in the front and let the foot breathe when hot. Nice and small to throw in the bag when not sure.
A need for MTB and CX racers
Such a great product. A must have for anyone that needs foot protection while on and off the bike. The shield socks have completely replaced shoe covers in my wardrobe as walking or getting off the bike in these is not an issue. No more destroyed booties or booties coming off over the toes.

They don’t work if you ride in freezing temperatures in shoes designed for warm weather.
Wear winter shoes and they’re fine.
