It’s taken me a while to buy this but on a recommendation from friends I finally invested (told ‘it’s the most expensive, but best, bin bag you’ll ever buy’ 🤣). It’s already proved itself - managing to keep me dry / non-sweaty & relatively ‘happy’ during a recent downpour when I would otherwise have been very wet & uncomfortable. A great purchase. I’m an 8-10 and it runs true to size.

There isn’t a better women’s rain shell on the market! When I was an avid cyclist in Boulder, CO many of my friends had one. I finally got one when it was necessary when I moved to North Carolina. I didn’t regret it one bit and only wish I had it sooner! I’m typically a small, and I have a small in the Ambient, but this needed to be an x-small. No problem as I just exchanged it!

Good fit. Totally waterproof

169cm 55kg, 16% body fat, ordered a size XS/36. Probably could have ordered an XXS for a slightly slimmer fit. The XS definitely allows room for some layering underneath without being excessively flappy. There's an excess of 2inches on the wrists, so they'll fit over gloves. The collar has about the same excess too, so it's not a tight seal around the neck. Haven't worn it on rain yet, but all reviews say it will hold up superbly. My main comment is the zipper design - the jacket is designed to be stowed into its back pocket, but the zipper is not two way - in fact, do NOT attempt to zip close the pocket once you've folded away the jacket - it will be VERY difficult to unzip the pocket. For a $300+ jacket, this seems like a major design oversight. Instead, there is an elastic band that I'm guessing goes around the stowed jacket, but that band doesn't lay flat - another minor design flaw.
