La tecnología GORE-TEX se basa en una membrana ultrafina impermeable, cortavientos y transpirable de forma duradera. Esta membrana contiene más de 1.400 millones de poros por cm². Cada poro es unas 20.000 veces más pequeño que una gota de agua, pero unas 700 veces más grande que una molécula de vapor de agua (o sudor). Por eso mantiene el cuerpo seco, porque evita la entrada de la lluvia y facilita la salida del sudor.

Excellent pants for daily biking commute.

I am giving this is a 5 star review but unfortunately the size I ordered didn't fit. These were only available at the time in an XS and for my biking commuting needs, they need to fit over some leggings so they were too snug in that limited size. However, I know had they been the right size, they would have been perfect for my daily biking commute here in the Pacific NW where I face rain, wind, fog, hail. I love my Gore jackets and am looking to purchase Gore pants too. There was room in the seat to move and they are designed to be perfect for a cyclist. Wish they were available in a large size at that price, but I'll keep waiting. I'm marking it as runs true to size because again, the XS is an XS, I'm just not able to fit into the XS.

Very waterproof! They’re kinda loud

Very waterproof! They’re kinda loud and plastic-sounding but because of the waterproof material but they work so that’s all I really care about!

Superb Pants for XC Skiing and Running

It always disappointing when an excellent product gets a mediocre rating because the purchaser doesn't understand its intended purpose. As clearly stated in the product description and indicated by the product categorization, these pants are for running. Not cycling. (I'm also an avid road cyclist and would never use these for that. I have cycling-specific tights.) I've used the pants primarily for XC skiing and also for running in freezing temps, and they are the perfect blend of breathability, flexibility and warmth. In those contexts, the legs do not flap whatsoever: They are trim enough to not hinder movement, while being just loose enough for comfort and mobility. One note is that they are NOT rain/waterproof, nor are they advertised as such. Emphasizing that here so that people don't go buying these based on the other review, expecting them to be true rain pants. They are definitely water resistant and have kept me dry in light rain and heavy snow. But steady rain will soak through them eventually.

Rainproof but cumbersome for Cycling

Absolutely kept me dry AND warm in a 40-degree downpour during a 7-hour gravel race, but they are not really made for cycling with the extra fabric flapping and unwieldy. Could you come up with a more svelte option?
