Work great for XC skiing

I’ve been looking for a pair of winter tights to replace my 15 year old Cannondale tights. I did not want the chamois but found it difficult to find good wind proof cold weather tights without it. I decided to try the R5s and they worked out perfectly. They fit perfectly for me (155lb 5’11”). They are more breathable than my Cannondale’s and I have worn them in 25 deg F weather and they kept me warm. What’s more is on Tennessee days when it’s 25 F in the morning and 55 F in the afternoon, I can wear these and not break into a sweat like the Cannondales since these are more breathable. I got them on sale and I bought another pair as backup. They are, however, worth the full retail price. I purchased the blue trim legs 1st then bought the neon trim legs as the spare to help visibility on the bike. I would like it if these came with a bit more reflective areas. I can’t comment on durability yet (cannondales lasted 15 years of winter riding) but so far so good (10 rides). Plus, I own other gore wear and it has lasted 15 years and going (windstopper jacket).
