Fabian Cancellara already started road cycling at the age of 13. The young talent became one of the most successful racing cyclists of all time. His specialty: individual time trials and difficult one-day races. In individual time trials alone, he became a four-time world champion and two-time Olympic winner; he won Milan-San Remo once and the spring classics Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders three times each – in 2010, he even won both in the same year! At the Tour de France, he won 7 stages and raced 29 days in the yellow jersey.
He earned his nickname ‘Spartacus’ due to his build, which is rather strong for cyclists. Cancellara is considered a perfectionist.
