Rated 4 out of 5 by Carl from Gorewear C7 Long Distance Bib Shorts+ Really all-round good product, however the leg length is definitely too long for me, I purchased the smallest size & it overlaps my knee (my inside leg is 29" measurement) which is slightly irritating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick from Excellent shorts These are excellent shorts. I put them on out of the box and rode the 110 mile Fred Whitton with no problems at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BigIrish from Nice shorts but disappointing Pad I have ridden about 8 50 mile rides in these and in many ways they are great shorts. The fabric is really comfortable and the design means that the shorts rarely move once they are on due to the very effective leg grippers. The only disappointing feature for me was the pad. What is marketed as a long distance pad was just not comfortable on longer rides. Perhaps the pad is designed for long rides on smooth tarmac but it certainly didn't work for me on rough Scottish road

Rated 5 out of 5 by Racingsnake17 from Best yet These are primo shorts. Fantastic pad and chassis plus a great cut. The pad doesn't appear to move at all and, as a result, even after a hot, long ride I'm in no way desperate to get out of them. The low, scooped front is a good fit and includes a decent modesty panel. The partial width leg grippers are really effective. I also like the fabric's smooth finish. Getting the wide straps flat is worth taking a few seconds over. Best shorts I've had yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BigD from Top end looks andp erformance So full disclosure. I am not a cat 1, 10% body fat racing snake. I’m 6’6”, 97kg and only threaten Strava cups on downhill tail wind segments. But I do share with the fast boys the desire to keep improving my performance on the bike. So that was one of the main reasons why I decided to try the new Gore Wear bib shorts, after a history of using mid range shorts from the likes of dhb and Pearl Izumi. First impressions were impressive. The shorts were beautifully presented in a box (perhaps slightly overkill in today’s waste-conscious world) which immediately gave a premium feel to the product, and provided lots of information on the design, history and the involvement of Fabian Cancellara. I was immediately struck by how light the shorts were, but any concern about weakness in the fabric was dispelled when I picked them up – the material is thin but feels strong and sleek and professional. The shorts fit really well – I went for XL and think that was the right choice. They are a firm fit but don’t feel like they are squeezing the life out of you – there is no restriction on movement Two minor areas for improvement (I am being heightist!) – the front of the shorts is cut low so my top does need to be long to ensure no gap, and the straps are on the tight side. Out on the bike the positive vibe continues. I might be guilty of faint praise – but they are so comfortable you just don’t feel anything to comment on. Which tells me a lot of thought and testing has gone into the construction of the shorts and the materials used. I haven’t done any massive distances in them yet – at most 2 hours riding – but that view stands as well at the end of the ride as the start. So overall these are a superb pair of shorts. And whilst others could argue about the number of watts saved with the advanced design and materials, I have no doubt I feel faster and look better on the bike. And you can’t ask for much more than that from a pair of bib shorts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarge47 from " Took delivery of these over a week ago and it's fair to say I have not been disappointed. The silicon leg grippers are nicely understated (would like to have seen these go round whole leg circumference) and along with the incredible elasticity of the shorts, very little leg ride up was noticed at all. The bibs are so light that you hardly notice them on whilst riding. During an 80 mile ride the pad provided ample support and I dismounted feeling that I had ridden half that distance. The elasticity of the garment in general makes it very comfortable, especially the straps which are so light and stretchy as to offer minimal resistance. All in all I would recommend these shorts but they are definitely for the summer and truly a race fit so, if in doubt, go a size up. "

Rated 5 out of 5 by PeeblesVelo from Best bib shorts I've ever had :) I've had these shorts for a couple of weeks now and used them in a variety of weather conditions, initially I was sceptical as they are pretty expensive but I thought I'd give them a go, I have been very, very impressed. Over the years I've used shorts from all the major brands - Rapha, Castelli, Assos, Ale among others! And I would say the comfort and build quality of these is head and shoulders over all of those. The lycra itself is of a very high quality and most importantly looks really cool in a sort of matt finish :) The pad itself is very impressive in that you dont notice it! It just doesnt move, is very comfortable and seems great, it just does its job...really well. I should also mention the bib straps themselves, they hit the sweet spot between not being too tight so as to be uncomfortable but also tight enough so as to keep the shorts in place, they are also wide enough to sit on the shoulders really well. One great extra feature I haven't really seen on other shorts that is great is the use of a windstopper fabric on the front of the short, it prevents things you really dont want getting cold to get too cold through windchill! One last thing is that I think the Gore Wear branding on the shorts is nice and subtle, reflective lettering too, I think in the past Gore's kit has been a tad busy but these look great. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anybody who is serious about their riding, I will definitely get another pair at some point. They're not the cheapest but definitely well worth it, and as the saying goes - life is too short to use rubbish kit :)
