C3 Short Tights+

As an entry level short, these don’t stack up against shorts offered by other cycling apparel companies. Overall they’re flimsy. The fabric is too thin and stretchy, and provide minimal support and compression. The chamois is only good for about an hour’s ride. After that, they start to get hot spots. I suspect these will become see-through after only a year or two.

These are good quality shorts, but the sizes are not consistent with most other cycling apparel companies. A couple years ago I bought nearly the same shorts in size large. The sizing label on those shorts was US - L and EU - L . I bought size large again this time and the sizing label was US - L and EU - XL. These shorts fit like US - XL shorts. I tried them on a bike ride because I thought the looser fit must be some great design work that GORE did. NOPE. They were too big, and the chamois ended up on my lower stomach and not on my glutes! Since I wore them, I can't return them per GORE's policy. I can't count on GORE sizing their stuff consistently from order to order, so I'm not going to order online from them again.

I recently purchased several articles of bike wear and realized (too late) that Gorewear changed their sizing. I have purchased a lot of clothing from Gore before and chose the sizes that worked for me before. The tights are too large and unfortunately I have already worn/washed them but they still fit too large. They will probably sit in the bottom of my biking gear drawer until the next time I purchase gear.

This is my third pair, they are an excellent riding short. Comfortable and the padding is conforming and thick for long rides. It is also well made.

These C3 shorts are perfect for a quick ride outdoors. They perform very well and have enough padding to ride as far as 17 miles comfortably. However The material is stretchy in these shorts. What I mean is this. I ordered a large cause the chart said I needed a large but the Large were kinda big due to the stretchy ness of the material. They still fit but could pull the waist of the shorts up above my belly. Haf a little trouble with the padding in these shorts moving around but with the shorts pulled up tight the padding stayed put and didnt move. So I ordered another pair in a size under. This pair fit perfect! So when ordering order a size smaller due to the stretchy ness of this material. The quality of the material is outstanding. The shorts breath very well on Hot days so as to let the cool air in on decents. The gripper material in legs are great. The gripper matetial doesn't cause in chaffing or doesn't let the legs of the shorts ride up while peddling. Great shorts for quick and short rides of an hour an a half or less. I have ridden in these on a 21 mile ride climbing over 2k feet in about an hour an a half and they performed very well.
