Best Cold Weather/Rain Jacket
My Favorite jacket. Using already for 3 years and still looking good. The price point High but it is totally worth it. Great for protection against cold wind with rain. For all time having jacket I never use machine wash. I use to wipe my jacket with a wet rag because most of the time I have like 2 layers under neat.
I try numerous type of jacket so far this is my to-go Jacket

Fantastic jacket
I rode for an hour in a steady New England downpour today and when I returned home found that I was completely dry underneath. Amazing technology. I love Gore wear.

Zip lets this jacket down
From day one i had trouble getting the zips to mate on this jacket - and that was standing around fiddling with it! Forget trying to do it up while actually on the bike. Now, after minimal use, the zip is totally borked, as we just start its third winter. The teeth won't mesh, or mesh but then just fall apart again.

Perfection
In short I’ve cycled in all conditions seriously for 30 plus years and I have never seen anything like it. It packs super light and keeps you completely dry whilst being breathable. I rode today in torrential rain in a storm in Perthshire on holiday and came back after 3 hours completely dry. Simply unrivalled!

After 5 days the zip has gone wrong
I am using lots of Gore items, it was the best that I have, till today.
After 5 days the zip has broken.
I tried to zip on the jacket and its unusable now. Dont recommend this item.
Very delicate plastic fabric.

Finally upgraded rain gear
After years of wearing pretend rain gear on my commute I finally invested in real rain gear. Perfect for the ever changing Chicago weather.

first weapon of choice for riding in the rain
i testet the jacket during a 600k ride over the alps called the Rad Race Tour de friends in September 2017. Of course there were heavy weather conditions like a 200k ride with 120 k rain and 5 degree celsius. no problem for this jacket!
Of course i noticed also the perfect fitting and the great style it!
