totally waterpfroof
i bought this before this winter but haven't had the chance to test it until today. 1.5 hours in a driving rain and it was totally waterproof. In 45F weather, with a baselayer, it was also comfortable from a internal temp perspsective. No boiling bag. When i returned home, i put it on a hanger and it was dry in less than an hour. Fantastic. I only wish the shakedry technology could be incorporated into winter gloves.

Superior performance
I was on a 60mi ride and got caught in rain/sleet/snow in 35 degree weather and 20mph winds. This jacket performed as advertised and kept me dry and warm for over 2 hrs in those conditions. If you’re a dedicated rider who will ride in any/all weather, this jacket is worth the cost. It also fits real well. I am 5’11” and 155 - a medium fits well.

Fantastic jacket
I was nervous about the cost but on my first ride I have to say it's worth every penny. Caught on a sudden downpour on a warm day and the breathability and waterproofing is unbelievable. Cannot recommend enough

The best multi tool jacket I know of
Hi Yesterday I returned from almost 5 months cycle touring Vietnam and a l to of Europe. my GORE® C5 GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY™ 1985 Viz Jacket was one of the best items I had. Period. the three day heavy rain in the Harz mountains in Germany didn't phase it one drop. Days of rain in Netherlands were tolerable because of it.. it was perfect in rare cool wet weather and warmed me perfectly in higher elevations but the best use was on very cold nights camping with just a light camp blanket the GORE kept me warmer than I would have imagined. the best purchase I've made for cycle touring. once I got the hang of the sipper having nothing to do with the destuffed pocket I was beyond happy with this. thanks for the comfort, warmth and wind killer.

Fantastic performance and fit
The Gore shakedry technology is excellent and looks great too. I rode Monte Grappa in northern Italy for 9 days in the C5 jacket. This jacket protected me from the rain and looked impressive next to the Italians riders. In addition, I've run up Snowbowl ski resort in Flagstaff wearing this jacket in temperatures as low as 25C. This jacket does it all.
