Recommend handwash only

I like these leg warmers quite a bit. They feel great while riding. Only problem has been some of the webbed elastic fabric at the top of the leggings is starting to shred and pull off. Not sure why but my suspicion is that they are catching on my washing machine. I am washing in cold and on delicate as directed but still it is happening. I recommend handwashing in future.
