A durable, extremely breathable mid-layer designed for maximum flexibility on the trail, as well as comfort and warmth. Wear it with a base layer and jacket or on its own.

We wanted to develop a hybrid thermal layer that can be integrated into a multilayering system in a variety of ways but can also be worn alone. The ½ front zip provides ventilation and makes it easy to put on and take off even when wearing a helmet. Reinforced areas on the shoulders, chest, lower back, and upper arms prevent wear and tear from carrying a backpack or hip-pack and offer improved protection against wind and light rain.

How to take measurements

  1. Arm Length
    Measure from the highest point of your shoulder following your bent arm down to wrist bone. Bend your arm slightly.

  2. Chest
    Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the measuring tape horizontal.

Just right

I’d been looking for an ideal midlayer; one that could be worn with just a base layer, but still offered legit warmth and wind/moisture resistance, or could go under a top without overheating. This thing is just right for all that. Comfortable, crazy functional, and just what I was looking for.

Not as advertised

I can't speak to the performance of the 1/2 zip itself as I returned it before using it. My issue is that the images in the gallery did not represent the actual product. To me, the most interesting part of the 1/2 zip was the "+" marked fabric on parts of the zip. Sadly, these were all on the reverse side of the fabric, barely prominent on the front side. I returned it promptly and never found out how well it performed.
